In 1986, Li Riuhuan, the mayor of the time, interviewed a Hong Kong businessman who donated the museum mammoth ivory in the museum. In April, 1982, Hu Qili (the director of CPC office of the time) and Li Riuhuan censored the exhibit of rare and beneficial birds.

In1994, Luo Yuanpeng, minister of municipal Publicity Department, inspected our museum. In the summer of 1964, Professor Yang Zhongjian, superintendent of Graduate School on ancient amniotes and the ancients in Academy of Sciences of China, convened a symposium on carrying out Hu Qiaomu's spirit on speech in Shanghai Natural Museum.

In 1979, Professor Pei Weizhong, academician in Academy of Sciences of China, visited the display of ancient biology. In 1979, Professor Jia Lanpo, academician in Academy of Sciences of China, studied the mammal fossil of the fourth epoch.

In 1980 professor TobinTophin from MainUniversity in Germany cooperates makes research the Sinomastodon intermedius fossil together with the experts of our museum.

On Oct.21, 1998, Li Lanqing, vice premier of State Department, surveyed Tianjin Natural Museum which would be open soon. On Oct.28, 1998, Tianjin Natural Museum opened formally. Zhang Lichang, secretary of Tianjin Municipal committee, do the memorial for the opening.

In 2000, Chi Haotian visited our museum. In 2000,He Guoqiang visited our museum.
In May, 2000, Professor Hu Chengzhi, an expert on paleontology, was invited to identify the brain box of Beijing ape man. In May, 2000, Professor Hu Chengzhi, was invited to identify the dragon fossil from Guizhou Province.

On Dec.22, 2003, with his men, Sun Jiazheng, minister of Culture Ministry, in accompany of Zhang Junfang, the deputy mayor, and Fang Bojing, director general of Culture Office, inspected Tianjin Natural Museum. With great interest, they visited the exhibitions and had an informal discussion with the employees,inquiring about their work on educating youth. In May 2004, Mr. Li Changchun, political member from Central Committee of CCP, took a formal check in Tianjin on the non-adult education work, he visited the display of Tianjin Science Museum, and got to know the condition of the non-adult education carried out by the museum.
